Does Anti Aging Cream Work?
By Sarah Bright
Reversing the effects of age on your appearance is a very hot topic today. With the first of the Baby Boomer generation coming into the retirement age phase, there are more and more people that are interested in finding ways to look younger, forever. There are literally thousands of different anti-aging creams available on the market today. Since women are especially concerned with the effects of age to their skin, most of these anti-aging creams are targeted towards women, but many men have turned to them as well. So do any of these anti-aging creams work at all in the first place? And what do they do really exactly? Most of these products promises reduced wrinkles, which normally can be noticed after a short use of the cream. However, there aren't any known anti-aging creams currently that will actually eliminate wrinkles or otherwise permanently reverse the aging effects to the skin. Anti-aging creams will remove layers of dead skin from the surface, and hydrate the lower layers giving them a plumper and fuller look that helps reduced the appearance of those wrinkles. The wrinkles are not permanently removed actually, and will reappear after the discontinued use of the skincare product. Therefore, you have to keep applying it everyday. Since the cost of many of these ant-aging creams is not cheap, it is not cheap to maintain the reduced wrinkle effect. You can still achieve the same effect by using the less expensive type of moisturizers. The only anti-aging cream ingredient that was proven scientifically are vitamin C and E, and also the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). Though these three ingredients have been proven to work, there are also many other ingredients that will produce similar effects as well. Results of any skin care product will vary from user to user, and a good strategy would be to try several different types of creams before settling on one which will work best for you. In addition to antiaging cream, the two most effective things you can do to slow down the appearance of wrinkles is not to smoke, and to apply sunscreen at the beginning of everyday if you plan on being outside for more than fifteen minutes. SPF 15 or higher is recommended here. It looks good to be tan, but excessive UV exposure is a sure way to bring on wrinkled skin before its time. Acne Pimple Natural Treatment May Be Better For The Skin
To get rid of an acne pimple, natural treatment methods may be better for the skin than many of the synthetic products on the market today. Many of the over the counter products today contain benzoyl peroxide in concentrations between two and 12-percent, but they have been known to cause skin irritations that may cause a rash that actually appears worse than the acne they are designed to fight. Most of the acne pimple natural treatment methods involve using all natural ingredients, which will not cause the side effects often seen from synthetic products. Most people are of the belief that keeping the skin dry prevents acne from forming, and while that may play a role in the prevention of acne outbreaks, it can also cause skin problems from being too dry. The skin requires a certain amount of moisture to remain pliant and many chemicals in soaps and most commercial acne treatments dry out the skin that can leave it dull and looking lifeless. To eliminate an acne pimple natural treatment methods include not only keeping the skin clean, but also exfoliated. One of the main causes of acne is the accumulation of dead skin cells and using green...

Tanning Booths: A Questionable Form of Acne Alternative Treatment
As a teenage girl, puberty is high on the list of things that cause stress. Stress and changing hormones cause acne. Some teenagers are lucky and get through puberty with only a few blemishes at most. Others suffer with acne that is practically disfiguring. So, many teenagers are trying to avoid acne and the regular creams by using tanning booths as their method of acne alternative treatment. Tans Hiding Acne Blemishes It is funny to think that only a hundred years ago it was highly unfashionable to have a tan. Pale skin was the way to go for women, and they would hide their skin behind layers of clothing, hats, and parasols. However, with Coco Chanel making the tan fashionable, tans have become stylish and now too a popular acne alternative treatment. This acne alternative treatment has a basis in, surprisingly, science. When exposed to sunlight, the melanin in the skin triggers the color that results in a tan. The melanin production cancels out (albeit only for a short while) the oil glands that cause acne. Any scars that have been caused by acne seem to disappear beneath a dark tan. It might seem to many that this acne alternative...
